Q. What can the ExcellaDerm Microdermabrasion System do for my skin?
A. This procedure provides a gentle removal of the dead skin cell layer on the surface of your skin As a result, the skin appears to be fresh, smooth, soft and polished. If a more specific condition is of concern, talk to your technician and she/he will recommend a protocol for you to follow.

Q. Is the procedure uncomfortable?
A. Most clients will experience little to no discomfort during or after the procedure. A slight tingling sensation is common , but usually not considered uncomfortable.

Q. How does my skin look and feel immediately after the procedure?
A. Your skin will feel fresh, vibrant, healthy and smooth. A slight flushed look will be noticed in some cases but should disappear within a couple of hours. If redness persists, flush the skin periodically throughout the day with cool water.

Q. How do I care for my skin throughout the series of procedures?
A. A skin care kit will be prescribed for you to use throughout the series of procedures. It is important to know that you should not use any products containing fragrances, colorants, dyes, low pH materials or any other known irritants. Do not spray any colognes near the ablated skin. All of these could result in hyper pigmentation, prolonged redness, irritation and allergic responses.

Q. How long does the procedure take?
A. The procedures take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Q. How many procedures do you recommend?
A. A normal series of procedures would be 6, 8, 10 or 12 procedures at weekly intervals. After the initial series of procedures, we recommend that you receive one every 4 weeks for maintenance/refresher.
