ESTHETICS INSTITUTE AT CONCORD ACADEMY The Esthetics
Institute at Concord Academy has expanded it's offerings to include a
wide range of classes for the Licensed Esthetician through their Continuing
Education Program.
"The field of Esthetics is growing and changing at a phenomenal pace"
says Kate Riley, Institute Director. "We are excited to be providing a
Continuing Education Program that helps the practicing Esthetician keep
apace of these changes."
With the addition of microdermabrasion and other advanced procedures education
is crucial. "We are committed to education," says Judi Montore, Concord
Academy founder, "and this expansion of our program is very important
to us. The Esthetician today needs to be prepared not only to perform
these services, but to interact with the medical community to better serve
their patients and our clients."
The Esthetics Institute offers a 600-hour Esthetics & Spa Therapy program
leading to state licensure. Students learn the fundamentals of skin care
and practice hands-on skills in the Spa/Clinic, which is open to the public.
"We operate as a teaching spa because students learn best by experiencing
a wide range of treatments on many different skins.
"Our Instructors are also practicing Estheticians. With the opening of
The Practice last October, we have expanded our teaching potential while
serving a demanding clientele" said Mrs. Montore. "What is learned with
a cleint becomes a teaching experience with a better educated Esthetician
is our goal for Student and I nstrucotr alike." The Practice - Results
- Orientated Skine Care is a skin care facility specializing in advanced
skin care techniques with real results. The Practice is staffed by the
Institute's Instructors.
Continuing education is taught both in classes and individual instruction.
Esthetics Institute classes are held year-round in our 7000 square-foot
facility in Concord, New Hampshire.
